CITYAM.COM — Dame Alison Rose has re-entered the business world as a senior adviser to Charterhouse, a London-based private equity firm focused on services, healthcare, specialised industrials, and consumer investments. This marks her first role since stepping down as CEO of NatWest Group in 2023, following the high-profile controversy surrounding the closure of Nigel Farage’s Coutts account.

Although she admitted to being the source behind a BBC story about Farage’s finances, no findings of misconduct were made against her. The UK’s data watchdog later issued an apology, and Rose confirmed a settlement agreement with NatWest, formally closing the chapter. Her appointment at Charterhouse signals a new phase for the trailblazing leader, who in 2019 became the first woman to lead one of the UK’s big four banks.
