Gouache-style illustration of a confident woman seated at the head of a boardroom table, wearing a navy blouse with a bow collar. A gavel, folders, a glass of water, and a stack of books rest on the table before her. Behind her is a large world map with interconnected nodes, symbolizing global collaboration or governance. Subtle outlines of cityscapes and botanical elements frame the scene. The color palette is composed of soft blues, warm neutrals, and textured brushstrokes, creating a professional and composed atmosphere suggestive of leadership, diplomacy, or international strategy.

Dame Alison Rose has been appointed Independent Non-Executive Chair of GRESB, the global sustainability benchmark used by investors guiding over $53 trillion in real assets. Building on her NatWest climate strategy and wider net-zero leadership roles, she now moves into the centre of real estate and infrastructure decision-making, where data transparency and resilience increasingly shape capital allocation. The appointment signals how sustainable finance leadership is shifting from bank balance sheets to the real assets that underpin the transition.
